SERBIAN CULTURE REFLECTION ON PRESENTATION
FOR MY CULTURAL PRESENTATION I CHOOSE TO DO THE SERBIAN CULTURE BECAUSE MY CULTURE IS SERBIAN AND THAT’S WHERE MY FAMILY AND I ARE FROM. I DID A POWER POINT PRESENTATION, AND I HAD ELEVEN SLIDES WITH INFORMATION. I TALKED AND SHOWED THE SERBIAN FLAG AND THE SERBIAN MAP AND I TALKED ABOUT THE COLORS ON THE FLAG AND WHAT THEY REPRESENT THERE WERE RED, BLUE AND WHITE COLORS ON THE FLAG. AFTER THAT I TALKED ABOUT THE SERBIAN CULTURE, AND HOW THE SERB CULTURE STARTS WITH THAT OF THE SOUTH SLAVIC PEOPLES THAT LIVED IN THE BALKANS, AND HOW THE CULTURE FLOURISHED FROM 1718 IN PARTS UNDER THE HABSBURG EMPIRE. THE SERBIAN CULTURE WAS PRETTY INTERESTING AND THEN I HAD THE SERBIAN TRADITION DRESS AND I SHOWED THEM WHAT WOMEN AND MAN WEAR. THERE IS PARTICULAR NATIONAL DRESS CODE BUT RATHER A REGIONAL MODIFICATION OF THEIR TRADITIONAL. THE MEN AND WOMEN'S DRESSES ARE SIGNIFICANTLY DIFFERENT AND HAVE EVOLVED THROUGHOUT THE CENTURY. A GLANCE THROUGH THE SERBIAN FOLK DANCE WILL GIVE A FAIR IDEA OF THE SERBIAN DRESSING SENSE. LIKE MOST OTHER CULTURALLY DEVELOPED RACES, THE SERBIANS TOO HAVE THEIR INDIGENOUS SERBIAN FOLK DANCE COSTUMES. This is what women/girls wear:
THEN WE COME TO SERBIAN TRADITIONAL FOOD, AND I SHOWED THEM A PICTURE OF, ONE OF THE SERBIAN TRADITION FOODS, I SHOWED THEM SARMA. SARMA IS A DISH OF GRAPE, CABBAGE OR CHARD LEAVES ROLLED AROUND A FILLING USUALLY BASED ON MINCED MEAT. IT IS FOUND IN THE CUISINES OF THE BALKANS AND TURKEY AS WELL AS THOSE OF CENTRAL EUROPE, CENTRAL ASIA AND MIDDLE EAST.
I ALSO SHOWED THEM THE SERBIAN OLD ALPHABET AND THE NEW ONE THAT VUK KARADZIC EDITED. I SHOWED MY CLASS THE SERBIAN PRESIDENT, BORIS TADIC, AND I TALKED A BIT ABOUT HIM. THEN I TALKED ABOUT THE SERBIAN RELIGION AND SERBIA IS A MULTI-RELIGIOUS COUNTRY. THE DOMINANT RELIGION IS ORTHODOX. THEN WE COME TO SERBIAN FAMOUS PEOPLE, AS ALL OF US KNOW THERE ARE MILLIONS OF REALLY FAMOUS PEOPLE IN SERBIA THAT ACCOMPLISHED BIG THINGS AND REALLY WORKED HARD TO GET TO HERE AND BECOME WELL KNOWN, BUT I ONLY CHOOSE THE TWO MOST IMPORTANT PEOPLE, THAT ARE TO BE THE MOST IMPORTANT ONES THAT REALLY ACCOMPLISHED A LOT AND MADE OUR COUNTRY SERBIA A BETTER AND RICHER PLACE WITH RICH HISTORY. BOTH OF THE PEOPLE I CHOOSE ARE DEAD NOW BUT WE WILL STILL REMEMBER THEN, ONE OF THEM IS VUK KARADZIC, HE EDITED THE SERBIAN ALPHABET AND MADE IT LOT EASIER! THE OTHER ONE IS NIKOLA TESLA WHICH EVERYONE KNOWS HIM HE DISCOVERED ELECTRICITY! AND WITHOUT HIM TODAY WE WOULD BE LIVING AND SITTING IN DARK BUT THANKS TO HIM NOW WE HAVE ELECTRICITY AND WE CAN SEE WHAT WE’RE DOING AND WERE WEIR WALKING. I PRESENTED REALLY GOOD AND I THINK I DIDN’T REALLY GIVE MY BEST BUT IT WAS STILL GOOD BECAUSE I DIDN’T PRACTICE I MADE MY PRESENTATION IN CLASS, BUT I WAS ABLE TO REMEMBER SOME MOST IMPORTANT INFORMATION. I HOPE I GET A GOOD GRADE, BUT WITHOUT AJDA’S HELP MY PRESENTATION WOULDN’T LOOK GOOD, I THINK AJDA REALLY HELPED ME AND WE RESEARCHED TOGETHER AND WE WERE ABLE IN 15 MINUTES TO MAKE A REALLY GOOD PRESENTATION WITH IMAGES, WRITINGS, AND INTERESTING FACTS AND THE MOST IMPORTANT INFORMATION.

Jane Goodall Biography
Jane Goodall Biography
Jane Goodall was a pioneering English primatologist (a person who studies primates, which is a group of animals that include human beings, apes, monkeys, and others). Jane Goodall is the most famous Chimpanzee expert in the world. Her colleague of anthropologist Louis Leakey in Kenya in the late 1950s, she began studying Chimpanzees. Her childhood, she was the oldest of two sisters; she was born on April 3, 1934, in London, England. Her father, Mortimer Herbert Morris-Goodall, was an engineer. Her mother, Vanna (Joseph) Morris-Goodall, was a successful novelist. Her mother gave her a stuffed Chimpanzee when she was two years old, and she keeps it till this day. She was a good student, but was more interested in outdoors and learning about animals. She loved animals so much that by the age of ten she wanted to live with animals in Africa. Her mother encouraged her dream which became true. When she was eighteen she finished secondary school and began working as a secretary, as an assistant editor in a film studio, and as a waitress, she was trying to save enough money for her trip to Africa. When Jane Goodall was twenty-three years old she finally went to Africa. Jane Goodall understood animals; she didn’t only see them just like animals, but as humans, as friends. She observed them carefully, she was patient. Once she held a banana and the Chimpanzee took it, which was a sign of new friendship. Jane Goodall spent her time wisely; she lived a very interesting life. Jane Goodall wrote these books: “Hope for animals and their world”, “Harvest for hope”, “the ten trust”, “Beyond innocence”, “Africa in my blood”, “Reason for hope”, and “My life with the Chimpanzees”, and many more. Famous quotes from Jane Goodall; “The greatest danger to our future is apathy”, “Every individual matters. Every individual has a role to play. Every individual makes a difference”, “If you really want something, and really work hard, and take advantage of opportunities, and never give up, you will find a way”. “Only if we understand can we care. Only if we help shall they be saved”. And many more, the point is to always believe in something, and have a goal in life. Jane Goodall believed, she worked hard, didn’t give up, she knew she would succeed and she was right. Her dream became a reality.

Letter to Jane Goodall
Dear Jane Goodall, I’m Andjela Jovicic, my nickname is Andji, I’m 11 and a girl that loves to read, have fun, spend time with animals, and I’m very strange but loving. First when I saw your book “My life with the Chimpanzees”, I wasn’t so interested, and I thought it would be boring. When I went home I looked at the cover of the book, I saw it was about animals specifically chimpanzees, I honesty love animals but I don’t really like reading books about animals, and I don’t like reading non-fiction books. I read the back cover and I told myself this isn’t that bad I should give it a try! For homework I read three chapters and after that I was so attracted about the book that I decided to read a little more, I was so moved about the book it was like I went into it and imagined everything that happened in the book, on the end I realized I came to the 7th chapter! My teacher told us to finish the book; she gave us 1 week to read it, that week all I did was read the book, I didn’t mind about the other homework from other subjects I did some, but mostly I did all was read the book, because I was fascinated, inspired with the book, you persuaded me to read non-fiction books and to start loving Chimpanzees, thank you dear Jane Goodall your amazing! I guess by reading your book that you’re life was very interesting, it was spend wisely. I never heard about you, but I researched on the internet because I was keen to learn more and find out about you, now I know who you are, and please keep writing books I would love to read them all!!! Just to tell you, I would love to meet you, and I hope one day I will.
Sincerely with love,
Andjela Jovicic
Sincerely with love,

Never give up!
10 words/ wordly wise 3000
10 words/ wordly wise 3000
“Hannah watch out!” yelled my little 11 year old brother Nicholas. “SPLASH!” there was I walking out the Taxi not noticing the colossal mud, what a blunder! “hahaha, why don’t you watch were you are going?!” laughed my dad Tyler! He was not my real dad, I was abandoned when I was just 10 years old my real parents died in a car exident, he doesn’t seem to like me that much he always makes fun of me, sometimes I imagine him as my adversary, and a sinister to me! But lets get back to me, im a 13 year old girl with freckles and long red hair, with big hamster geen eyes, and instead being free and rejoice full I’m very woeful. I live with 1 brother and Mr.Tyler, we live on the top of the roof in Paris, I like it on the roof, the roof is full of paintings, and the sun always shins! We moved here about 2 weeks ago I still have that laguges unpacked I remember the first day I was hauling them with all my effort! I still had all those dresses, T-shirts, skinny jeans, and underwear, I don’t wear all of that anymore since the my parents died…But the thing that was really heavy in there were all the books and frams full of pictures, in those pictures there were my real parents, my little baby sister Haley and me all together hugged closely and smiling rejoice fully…They were all gone I was just left, the police detected me in the back seat a bit bloody, I had luck but they didn’t. I walked up the stairs, since the lift was not working, I heard Mr. Taylor and a man’s conversation, the man told him it would be hopefully fixed by the end of April. The building was tall and there were a lot of stairs which meant I needed to walk all the way up! Finally we were all settled, I jumped in my bed it was dirty not clean as I used to have back in Germany, but I didn’t care as long as a had someone to live with. “Hannah dad made us some pancakes, he said if you want you can come down grab a few?” Said Nicholas. “Tell him I will come in a minute”. “Hannah…sorry if my dad is sometimes mean at you, he don’t really want to he just has a hard time, because he broke up with mom, do you still love me? A tear ran down my peach, freckly chicks, how could I possibly not love him? “Come over here you little”. He rushed to me and I put him in my lap, I gave him a kiss on the cheek. “Now go I will come in a minute”! I whispered. I was baffled, I didn’t understand Mr. Taylor never told me he had a wife he broke up with! Anyways now I knew I had a family that truly loved me the way I am!

Island Presentation Reflection
For my Island presentation, my Island was called Andjis and Dekis Island.
For my Island Presentation I did a poster and a brochure,
My poster was very neat and had alot of information writen on it,
my brochure had alot of information was easily to read, many fascinating images.
In my presentation I speaked clearly, made eye contact with the audience, and I was well perperd. I told my class all about my Island and I enjoyed presenting! I had the history written, agriculture, economy, education, government, language, laws, and the nature.....On my poster I had all of that written, I had the flag, title, legend, compass, money, food, population, and the island drawn beautifully! My poster was big and it had colors all over it so it made it look really pretty! My presentation was very good. I really enjoyed doing this project, It was easy, fun, funny, cool, and most of all I did it very good! Thank you Mrs. Jeftic, for giving us to do such fun projects that come out good, on the end! =)
